Located just 2.5 miles off Interstate-295 near the Delaware Memorial Bridge, this nonprofit center offers outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient services, and sober living support for adults navigating substance use. Programs address recovery from opioids, alcohol, and other drugs, while also reaching underserved groups impacted by substance use related stigmas and health disparities related to race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, housing status. Community Collaboration of Delaware uses evidence-based approaches like 12-Step facilitation, motivational interviewing (MI), and relapse prevention to support recovery goals. Case managers create individualized plans and guide them in building skills for long-term stability. In sober living homes, clients strengthen recovery through daily structure, peer support, and practical coaching. The center offers unique programs like the Community Advocacy, Recovery Empowerment (CARE) Program, which provides case management and care coordination for those in recovery from substance use disorder. They also provide free naloxone training and distribution to expand opioid overdose response. Additionally, the Healthy Options for Prevention Education (HOPE) Program works in local schools and teaches healthy decision-making through SAMHSA-recognized prevention curricula.
