We Care Foundation
About We Care Foundation
Set in the historic Huntridge neighborhood, We Care Foundation is a home-like non-profit recovery home for women struggling with drug and alcohol dependency. Founded in 1961, they offer a safe, sober place where women of all backgrounds can begin healing. The program is built on the 12-Step model and focuses on long-term recovery through support, structure, and personal growth. Women in the program live in small groups and take part in daily meetings, book studies, and peer discussions. They learn responsibility, honesty, and how to make better life choices. With no more than 8 residents at a time, the house feels like a family, helping women feel supported and connected. The program offers lasting support through a group called “Grateful Hearts,” made up of former residents. These women stay involved by offering guidance, sharing their experiences, and giving back to those still in recovery. Many graduates return for meetings and events, helping build a strong, supportive community you can rely on long after the program ends.
